This time last year, our property at Karwick Village was nothing more than an empty field full of possibility. Today, as we stand on the same ground, the transformation is almost hard to believe. Where there was once bare earth, there are now six beautiful, complete rental units in two triplexes. And in just days, families will be moving in, turning these units into homes filled with life, laughter, and new beginnings.
A Year of Building
The past twelve months have been a whirlwind of activity, collaboration, and steady progress. We’ve watched foundations being poured, walls rising, roofs taking shape, and interiors coming to life with every finishing touch. Each day brought us closer to this moment, the moment when families would finally have the keys to affordable, cooperative, quality housing in our community.
These six units represent more than construction milestones. They represent:
- Children who will have stable housing and consistent schools.
- Parents who can focus on their careers and families without the stress of unaffordable rent.
- Individuals who will put down roots in our community.
- A neighborhood that is stronger and more vibrant with new members.
To the six families preparing to move in: welcome home! We are thrilled to have you as part of our community, and we can’t wait to see the memories you’ll create in these spaces.
Looking Ahead: Phase 2 in 2026
But we’re not stopping here. Next year, we’re moving into Phase 2 of construction, which will welcome six more families home to our community. We’re already preparing to for this next chapter of this journey. We’ll share more of the details about Phase 2 in the new year.
